The head of state traveled to address national troops in the Donetsk region on Tuesday. Zelenskyy announced that he engaged with fighters at the command post of the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya sector, a location approximately a short distance from Pokrovsk.

Intense Circumstances in the Area

Updated analysis from a national effort showed that Russian forces had made gains into the city and surrounding areas, though much of it lacked clear dominance by both forces. The status is precarious, with accounts indicating that opposition troops were establishing defenses and building up positions in various sectors.

Invading troops continue to advance in the Pokrovsk sector and seem to be functioning with increasing comfort within Pokrovsk itself.

Analysts commented that defense units had recaptured substantial territory of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya front, on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk campaign.

National Long-Range Assaults Deep Inside Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russia at the location. City administration reported an explosion at the Sterlitamak facility that resulted in structural damage to partially collapse, adding that the cause of the explosion was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was significant destruction to the facility.

Defense units confirmed attacking a petroleum facility at the city in the federal district to the east of the capital. The degree of impact was under evaluation. The local official confirmed an attack by numerous aerial vehicles near the area.
